House Rule: Knacks Official Rules state that a character can only have 1 knack per discipline talent. There are several changes that are to be made to this rule set.
HR- 1: Character's don't have to be Disciplined in a talent to be able to gain a knack in it. Discipline talents function as normal. If you are not Disciplined in the talent LP costs are doubled. If you are using a Talent via Versatility and working for a knack the LP cost is doubled again.
Reasoning: A talent is as much a part of you as anything and making it your own is only right. For some, however, it is easier to do.
HR-2: Characters can have more than one knack on a talent, but never more then Half their rank in the talent. They, however, can only have/use one knack 'active' at a time/per round. So a character with Sprint at rank 6, can have up to 3 knacks, but only gain the benefit of one at a time.
Reasoning: AS you grow in power your ability to create more versatile uses of your talents grows with you.

Question about knacks. I can see that for combat bassed talents. What about ones that are more time driven like thread weaving and forge blade. I haven't really found combat for those not saying they don't have them? Forge blade and forge armor I have found dozens for them that are non combat am I still only able to have a limited amount of them?

Same limitation still applies to the number of knacks. there is no distinction between combat vs non-combat in this sense.
So, The number of knacks possible under this means you max out at 8, half rank(max 15) round up.
This is already a far flung edge from the original rule of:
1 Knack, for a discipline talent only.
